12 oz bottle from a mix case, sold in Lake Harmony, PA. Pours a hazy ruby brown with a few fingers of light, white, slowly dissipating head. Very nice lacing all the way down. Really nice nutty caramel aroma. Medium mouthfeel, and a nice smokey sweet hazelnut with a slight hint of hops bitterness in the aftertaste. Could be a bit more complex, but still pretty good. Smooth and easy to drink.

Couleur brune légère, col est blanc-cassé. Arôme, poudre de châtaigne est bien prononcé, malt, grains. Goût, malt grillé est fin, effervescente, fini garde une approche de châtaigne, caramel, biscuité, sec au palais avec qcq notes de chocolat. Palais reste un peu faible et léger. Arrière goût a une note subtile de houblon qui néanmoins reste bien cachée.

On tap. Poured a clear brown with a light tan head that dissipated slowly to the edges. Aroma was full of malts with a nice grain and bread backbone with a hint of caramel and some spices. Flavor was quite similar with lots of malts that were slightly sweet but mainly bread came to mind with some spices to make it interesting.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm, 16 Apr 2010) Dark brownish amber colour with a huge, beige head. Malty, nutty nose with notes of caramel, dark fruit, dark bread and a hint of citrus. Malty, slightly toasted taste with dark fruit, dark bread, nuts and a touch of citrus in the finish. Medium body, balanced bitterness, slightly sweetish. Not the best from Bells, but a nice and tasty brown ale

355 ml bottle thanks to Schroppfy, on December 30, 2009Cloudy dark brown color, firt pours were clear though, tan head. Subtle fruity and sweet malty scent. Acidic, caramel, malty, dryish taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium dryish bitterness.

This ale poured a ddark orange colour with a big frothy, tan coloured head. To the nose there are scents of candy, caramel, sweet malts and a little ripe fruit. First taste was very smooth and medium bodied with flavours of caramel, malt and a very small hopp flavour. Finish is slightly bitter with hopp and caramel flavours lingering.

On tap. Pours deep red brown with a medium off-white head. Aroma is lightly malty, specifically caramel. First sip is caramel and toasted malts, and at this point I thought for a moment that I might have accidentally gotten the Amber Ale. After that, though, it’s more definitely a brown ale, with roasted malts coming on more strongly. An alright brown ale.
