What if you combine the Moscow Mule cocktail with a Molen Stout? The result, the Kiev & Mule! Expect the classic flavors of the stout, roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. The addition of the cocktail ingredients, ginger, lime and mint, gives this beer a fresh twist. Where the ginger is mainly in the nose, the lime and mint come forward strongly at the first sip. These add a summery touch to an otherwise tough guy.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 22/12/24. Lighter shade of black topped with a good sized khaki head. Nose is cola cubes, herb, dark malts, molasses, toffee, brown sugar dusting, root ginger. Taste comprises dark malts, chocolate shavings, lime, ginger, earthy fruit rinds, herb. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, drying close with a kick of alcohol. Different but not something I'd want to drink much of.

Almost opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Airy dark chocolate malts, some cocoa powder. The lime, mint & ginger are all obvious additions but, for the most part, it all comes together into a tasty eclectic brew that goes down quite easy. Would I want another, probably not but, glad I got to try this unusual Impy.

Bitter intense roasted beginning. Burned grain, dark burned sugars. Sticky and still sessionable. Bread crust, a bit fruity, but the lime is hard to figure out, same with the mint. Great deep burned dark finish, fresh and rich. Fantastic viscous, deep. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kiev & Mule Imp. Stout Cocktail on 01 Apr 2024 at 19:16 - Score: 8. Tap. Darkest brown color with beige head. Aroma is big ginger beer, lime, chocolate and mild roast in the back. Taste is the same, fun mixture of chocolate, roast, and ginger beer. Interesting, but not sure if it works well.
