Bottle at home in London - sourced from Offie and Toffee. Pours clear golden-amber with a frothy, off-white head. The nose holds simple, lightly toasted malts, some grain, leaves. Light sweet flavour with an ashy, cigarette-like off-note, some further lightly toasted and bready malts, mild caramel, leafy bitterness, hints of dried berries. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more sweet and bready malt character, mellow earthy and leafy bitterness, more caramel and toffee, and more of that odd ashy note. Besides the off-note, it’s fairly pedestrian stuff.

Cask @ The Crown, Hasings. Hazy colour, white foam. Soft carbonation. Bitter with spicy notes (juniper?) easy drinkable but a bit unbalanced. Bitter finish. Ok.
