Traditioneel en stormachtig. Dit Van Vollenhoven Bokbier is gebrouwen met maar liefst 6 soorten mout. Zoetheid en bitterheid zijn goed in balans, met tonen van caramel en geroosterde mout.

Pours a clear ruby red-brown colour and a light beige head that doesn't last. Aroma's of caramel malts, light roasted and some red fruit. Flaovour is light sweet and light roasty bitter. Medium bodied. Roasty moderate bitter finish. It has improved, it's now a decent bock and fortunately not too sweet.

A bit of tapline issues i think here at wynand amsterdam... base beer is nice and malty. But lacking great full body.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Clear brown with a tan head. Caramel aroma with some raisins and roasted malts. Sweet taste with a sweet taste. Light bodied but well balanced.
