12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a small white head and poor retention. No lacing. Lemonade aroma, as expected. Strong lemonade flavor with a slightly tart finish. No beer flavor at all. It's a decent lemonade soda, but it needs more beer flavor to be a true shandy. Thin, watery body. Highly carbonated. Zero bitterness. Sam Adams Porch Rocker is far superior.

Can from giant eagle market place. Very light pale with slight haze. Slight lager nose, can barely pick up any lemon aroma. First taste is pleasant and friendly, this is a well balanced shandy. Nice easy lemon taste with just the right amount of tartness. I think these guys at spoetzl know what they're doing. I like the level of carbonation. In the middle I'm still getting satisfaction from this brew. Maybe its the slight amount of agave in there, not sure. Wow, in the end I wish I had another can. Great example of a well made shandy Shiner!

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours lightly translucent gold with a white head that barely existed. Aroma is lightly lemon candy. Approaching med body. Definitely sweet, and unfortunately agave is discernible. Not an agave fan. Lemon dominates.

Lemon-lime, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with nice white head. Moderately sweet lemon-lime, biscuit malt, and very mildly bitter straw flavor. Okay body.

Yellow with a large white head that faded quickly. Tangy with a lemonade note. Long finish. Medium body.
