Kings Canyon is a showcase of balance, starting with a fantastic bed of English malts for a caramel and biscuit sweetness. The American hop addition works in consonance, bringing forth a delightful resinous character with considerable citrus notes and floral hints.

Hops: Ekuanot, Simcoe
Malts: Martis Otter, Wheat, Munich, Caramalt, Crystal T50

Bottle at home, from Thornbridge online, 18/04/2025.
Clear reddish amber topped with a good sized off white head that collapses over time.
Nose is biscuit malts, straw, dusty hops, orange peel.
Taste comprises candied orange peel, grass, citric tinged straw, light bread dough, caramel.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spattered with earthy hop bitterness.
Not bad for the style.

Bottle (from Alko web). Ambery golden colour with a small white foamy head. Aroma is toffee, some nectar, mild spruce with some sweet herbal tones too. Flavour is floral, some zesty, nectary and mild spruce with some toffeeish sweetness as well. Quite sweet.

500ml bottle from Alko. Poured clear and golden in color. Smooth caramel, toasted malts, nutty notes, fudge. Balanced bitterness. What not to like. Very drinkable.

Pretty much a clear deep gold beer, yeah could be amber in a certain light. Small bubbly cream colour head. Smooth malts, mildly dry but with a light creamy sweetness and a bare trace of caramel. The hoppage is soft pine into a juicy citrus, slightly ripe orange, mandarin and tangerine. A very light touch of peel bitterness. A little candy fruits add welcome colour. Light and semi dry finish. Tidy amber and with the usual Thornbridge drinkability factor. Nice.

Bottled 500ml (Alko web)
Amber colour, small beige head. Subtle caramelly-resiny aroma with hints of honey. Light-bodied. Caramalt, pine, touch of citrus with English malt vibes. Typical easy but balanced Thornbridge, a bit more interesting than many of their recent ones.
