A clear amber beer, no head. Aroma of cinnamon, spices, dried fruits. Taste of anis, cardamon, dark malt, dried fruits.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, copper-ish, brown colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Caramel malty and spicy aroma with a minimally soapy touch, notes of allspice, ginger, aniseed, sime clove, a touch of nutmeg. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, spicy and slightly yeasty fruity, hints of dried fruit, raisin, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, some clove. Watery texture, smooth, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium to fine, dense, soft, creamy carbonation. Heavily, still well spiced, nice fruitiness - good.

Kräutriger, hefig-herber Beginn. Milde Süße, erhöhte Karbonisierung, leichte Bitterkeit. Nelken, Anis, herb-hefig, langer Abgang. Ok. 9/8/8/8/12/8

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek' (online), best before November 2026. Hazy, reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty, rather herbal-spicy and slightly fruity aroma of caramel, honey, ginger, cinnamon, licorice root and some clove. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather herbal-spicy, gently yeasty and slightly fruity taste of caramel, honey, some banana, clove, aniseed, ginger, cinnamon and some licorice root, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, fairly herbal-spicy finish. Medium to full body, smooth but fairly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice Christmas ale, very spicy though, surely not to everyone's liking.
