A malty beer which uses rye to add body and a gentle warming spicyness. The balance of malts and hops gives a blend of biscuit and caramel flavours matched with dark fruits, citrus and pine aromas. Our favourite autumn beer.

440ml can from Glenridding Mini Market. Pours a deep reddish amber, good off-white head. Herbal, spicy, malty aroma. Quite a spicy red rye to taste, nice sappy hoppy bite. Flavoursome, decent.

Can from Tap Door on-line. Aroma had sweet spicy rye and fruit. Cloudy... murky... treacle toffee brown. Thick foamy white head. Persistent lacing. Warming caramel and rye spice. Citrus and berries undercurrent. Bitter grain edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry increasingly astringent finish. Hits the spot.
