Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 16D). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 1070. AROMA: mild sweet malty aroma with spicy notes and some esters (orange). some cardboard notes . APPEARANCE: ambar color and hazy. medium-low ivory head with good retention. TASTE: mild sweet flavour with some faint caramelisation. low bitterness with a semi-sweet finish. PALATE: low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a biere-de-carde without the traditional complexity.

Trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit ordentlicher beiger Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht würzig, hefig, fruchtig. Geschmack fruchtig, leicht metallisch, würzig, minimal säuerlich, würzig fruchtig im Abgang.

Hazy medium amber colour, one finger fizzy beige head, recedes slowly to a thin layer, almost no lacing. Aroma sweet malty, fruity, apple, caramel, hay. Fresh taste moderate sweet, light sour, woody. Medium-bodied, oily to watery texture, soft carbonation, finish lingering fresh sweetsour fruitiness, bit woody.

Bottle 330ml (Saveur)
Clear dark amber-copper color, tiny head. Aroma is fruity, caramelly. One could say "typical biere de Garde aroma". Light to medium-bodied. Sweetish caramel, chestnuts, overriped berries in the flavor. Certainly a French: too simple for Belgian.

Schön bernstein-rötlich liegt es im Glas. Der Schaum verfliegt ziemlich schnell. Der Geruch ist fruchtig-süß. Der Antrunk ist zu Beginn neutral-frisch und wird zum Hauptteil hin immer voller und süßlicher. Man schmeckt die 6,5% deutlicher heraus als erwartet. Allerdings ist es nicht übersüß oder aufdringlich sondern schön ausgewogen. Der Nachgeschmack ist langanhaltend und schön frisch-fruchtig mit schönem, vollem Aroma. Allerdings doch irgendwie komplex und schwierig zu beschreiben.
Bei jedem Schluck erschließt sich dieses Bier anders und neu --> sehr zu empfehlen!!

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a pale amber color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty weak caramel aroma. Fruity malty spicy yeasty caramel flavor with weak sour hints. Has a fruity weak malty spicy yeasty finish.

Amber pale colour, foam disappears quickly. A lot of carbonation. Malty beer with bitter/sweet finish. Almost no body. A bit metallic.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light caramelish. Sweet malty, fruity and mild citric. Dry and light toasted malty finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of jaghana. Pours a clear reddish golden with a small off-white head. Lightly tart apple aroma, fruity. Medium body, a sweet fruitiness, some phenols and again this slight tartness. Not so hot.... 150413

Bottle. deep golde colour with an off-white head. Aroma is berries, malt, hop, caramel. Flavour is berries , yellow apple, malt, hop, caramel, yeast. Medium body. Ordinary beer.
