From the cherry tree’s transient flowers, its fruits ripen – round, red and packed with sunshine. Timmermans Kriek is brewed by adding natural juice to lambic beer, a blend that is then fermented in oak barrels. After which it is bottled.Timmermans Kriek blends its famed lambic with this sweetness for a beer that can quench any thirst. Its natural freshness will make you blush for joy.
Taste-wise… Its flavour is all cherry, as is already apparent from its very powerful nose. Its acidity is neutralised by its agreeably sweet and fruity bouquet. Its taste pervades the mouth and lingers gently, elegantly tinted with summer cherries.

Bottle. Faded red color. Almost and marzipan in the aroma. Hints of cherry sweet in the flavor. Too sweet, but I liked it anyway.

250ml bottle.

Small bottle. Rich red color, pink foam. Cherry aroma with stones, cherry jam and compote. Sweet and sour taste, cherry, sweet cherry, compote, not oud, of course.

From the bottle. Clear red color with a frothy white head. Huge cherry aroma. Taste is sweet, full of cherry. Body stays to the light side of medium, carbonation is balanced. Pleasant in small doses and quite refreshing too. But would wear out its welcome soon, I think.

Keg at Artut, Östersund. Of course this is kinda tasty but it is aggrssivly sweet and doesn't give those satisfying cling feelings of other Belgian sours (15/3/19).

Bottle from Systembolaget. Tack för julkalendern.... Sweet cherry and metal on the nose. Cherry red with lasting carbonation. Haribo cherry flavour. No profound sourness to it really. I don't know why they need to make the lambic so sweet...A good kiddy drink tho. Kept at 6.9. (12/4/25).

Keg at the Star and Garter, Bromley. Red pour with a light pink head. Aromas of icing sugar, glace cherries, marzipan. The taste reminds me of the cake me mum used to buy in the 70s, the halcyon memory bumps the score up somewhat, without it it's an inoffensive run of the mill exceedingly sweet brew.
