From the cherry tree’s transient flowers, its fruits ripen – round, red and packed with sunshine. Timmermans Kriek is brewed by adding natural juice to lambic beer, a blend that is then fermented in oak barrels. After which it is bottled.Timmermans Kriek blends its famed lambic with this sweetness for a beer that can quench any thirst. Its natural freshness will make you blush for joy.
Taste-wise… Its flavour is all cherry, as is already apparent from its very powerful nose. Its acidity is neutralised by its agreeably sweet and fruity bouquet. Its taste pervades the mouth and lingers gently, elegantly tinted with summer cherries.

Keg at Euston Tap West. Sweet cherry aroma - makes me think of playdough. Cherry red, somewhat opaque. Some initial sourness followed by a sweetness remenincent of cherryade. Think. Slick. Average carbonation. Long low key finish. Hmmm. Sweetest Lambic I can remeber having. Boozy cherryade.

Bottle at TZT. Red colour, pink head. Aroma of pure marzipan. Flavour is sweet, marzipan, cherry juice, just light sour. Light bodied. Guilty pleasure but this is a bit overdone.

Bottle shared at TZT. Clear dark pink with light pink head NL head. Strong marzipan, sweet cherry jam, soft tart berries, more marzipan, soft raspberries, Fernandez cherry. Quite sweet and light tart. Over light bodied.

Shared 250 ml bottle, at a lambic tasting at Lilland Bryggerihotell, Tau (I think I have a bottle from Bris Ølutsalg in my stash somewhere too). ABV is 4%. Clear red colour. Aroma of cherry kernels and almonds. Sweetish and sugary flavour, notes of artificial cherry candy, not very good. Won't buy again.
