Black beer, solid tan head. Rich aroma of toasty malt. Flavour has a little brown sugar, cocoa, sweet / toasty malt, a little lactose. Really decent body for the ABV, good aftertaste and doesn't feel compromised by being sessionable. One of the best session stout I've had, and honestly it packs more of a punch than some stronger ones I've had too. Lovely stuff, could happily spend an evening on this.

Cask @ Tap and Can. Pours dark, beige head. Confident burnt coffee vibes.. decent but not quite possessing of the milky chocolate goodness I expected from the name.

Lots of milk chocolate. Almost a nestle vibe here. Black pour with good mocha head. Light sweetness and bitterness in the finish. Ok.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Tan head. Nose - sweet milk chocolate, specifically Flake. Taste - caramel and creamy milk chocolate. Flake and Dairy Milk. Palate - medium bodied, creamy texture. Still fairly sweet on the finish. Overall - good.

568ml can from Redland Stores, Bristol. Near black in colour, with a small, beige, head that managed to leave lacing down the glass. Rich aroma of plain chocolate and coffee beans, with some singed oak in the background and lingering lactose character. Easy drinking with some creaminess, more chocolate, a hint of vanilla amongst toasty malts. The finish was quite rich with a touch of ash. An excellent session strength stout.
