Inspired by the great traditional bocks, we wanted to incorporate classic amber bock colour with robust malt flavours and add a hoppy twist - the Hopplebock was born.

Brewed in collaboration with Full Circle, this beer has a sweet biscuit malt backbone. The combination of Mandarina Bavaria and an experimental hop, HBC 522, produce notes of fresh melon and candied orange peel.

These aromas are rounded out by a 10 week lagering phase, resulting in a crisp, refreshing lager with a balanced malt profile and hop notes.

440ml can Sophie's Beer Store. Pours a deep amber, large off-white head. Strong aroma of toffee, sweet malt. Quite sweet to taste, lots of toffee and mild candied orange, not especially hoppy but a decent doppelbock overall
