440ml can from the brewery. Pours a lovely dark ruby red, small tanned head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts, nuts, maple syrup. Taste is sweet and moreish but not sickly. The maple syrup combines nicely with a toasted malts combining with nutty and cola flavours. Nice smooth mouthfeel as well, with a body that is just light enough in the mild style to not make it too rich. Excellent.

440ml can. Deep dark cola brown, loose tan topping. Aroma of strong nutty malt, cola, maple syrup. Taste continues along these lines, quite sweet and flavoursome for a mild, verges perilously close to being a brown ale, though does recall the character of a strong Sarah Hughes dark mild. Very good indeed this.
