1000ml bottle. Opalescent if not minimally milky, amber colour with average to huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, off-white head. Smoky and caramel malty aroma, notes of barbecue, smoked ham, smoked wood, hints of wood ashes, barbecue sauce, coal, a touch of smoked eel and juniper berry. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, compared to the aroma surprisingly mild, rather background-ish, more woody, less ashy smokiness, some dark caramel, a chocolately touch; slightly diluted malty and smoky flavours overall. A mildly bitter and minimally grassy hoppy touch with some mineral aspects and very light tartness rounds off the work. Watery texture with some oily strands, slightly dry, simultaneously minimally greasy palate, medium, scattered, prickly carbonation. High-class, rich and intense, smoky aroma, sadly a tad watery (nevertheless abv adequate), I'd also prefer a slightly more fine and smooth carbonation; highly drinkable (as far as you don't rank smokiness as deal-breaker for drinkability in general) - pretty good nevertheless.

Clear amber beer with a off white head. Aroma of peated malt, bacon, caramel. Taste of bacon, smoked caramelized malt, mild peated malt. Good.

Bottle 500ml. w. swing top @ home on the terrace. [ As Lippert Räucherla ]. ABV: 5.1%. Clear medium to light amber orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, perfume, soap - washing powder. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, smoke, caramel, sweet malt, straw - wood bitter, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20190829] 6-3-7-3-15

(swing top bottle) Hazy, orange-amber colour with a firm and medium-sized, minimally off-white foamy head. Mildly smoked malty aroma with bready notes, smoked ham and a whiff of elderflowers. Mildly sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft and well-carbonated mouthfeel. Bready malty base with meaty smoky accents, traces of caramel, mildly herbal-spice, hay and again hints of elderflowers; moderately dry, mildly sweet and slightly hop bitter finish with notes of smoke and elderflowers. Enjoyable and complex Rauchbier. 19.VIII.17

Pours an amber color, small creamy beige head. Nose is earty-fruity hints with malts and smoke.

Wuchtige Bügelverschlußflasche aus dem Bauernladen, Lichtenfels. - Matt goldbraun, trüb; reichlich Schaum. - In der Nase etwas gedämpfte, an Schinkenbrot erinnernde Rauchnoten. - Antrunk mild malzig mit erfrischend säuerlichen und erdigen Zügen als Kontrapunkt zu speckartiger, zart salziger Rauchigkeit. Anklänge an Waldhonig. Und das alles rund und stimmig zusammengebunden, dabei weich und füllig! Mild rezent, sahniges Mundgefühl. Im Abgang mit einiger Verzögerung erdig-krautiger Hopfen mit zitronigen Spitzen, der für einen lang anhaltenden Nachtrunk sorgt. - Ungewöhnlich komplexes und doch rundes Rauchbier. Ein Ausnahmebier.

Seicht rauchiger Antrunk, der sich noch verstärkt. Leichte Hefenoten, dunkel würzig, etwas herb. Süffig, trocken rauchig, gelungen. 11/11/11/11/9/11
