0.5 l can from 'REWE Homberg', best before June 2026. Clear, very dark ruby with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a little bready aroma of caramel, burnt sugar and some toasted grains. Fairly sweet, malty, moderately bitter, a little bready taste of caramel, burnt sugar, toasted grains and hints of raisins, followed by a short, minimally bitter finish. Almost medium-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice, but not as deep as a true Malztrunk.

Can 50 cl. Pours a clear, reddish brown with a solid, and lacing, beige head with good retention. Faint molasses aroma, some chicory. Thin-bodied, discreet molasses and candy malt. Not overly sweet thankfully, but not an awful lot going on here. 230725

Mix of Alcoholfree Pils and Sugar + Colour. Tastes exactly like that. Malty dry, bitter burned sugar, alcoholfree beer with grain and burned sugar. Sessionable but no real Malzbier in taste.
