Inspired by Type O Negative’s My Girlfriend’s Girlfriend, this beer is a classic example of American IPA who went on a Euro-trip over the summer. So she comes back and there’s something different to her, something mysterious and strange about her. Her citrusy and fresh core is now complemented by an added bitterness and distinct earthy and grassy notes. She’s a naughty cocktail of bliss, but you don’t mind, you actually like it…a lot.

12oz bottle pours amber with some frothy, white head. Nose is very pithy and piney at first, dried orange peel, hand soap, spruce. Flavor follows, there's a lick of caramel and black tea, then all pine and pith. Full bodied finish.

Bottle in Sofia - picked up at 100 Beers. Pours clear orange-gold with a dense, frothy off-white head. Leafy hops in the nose, dried citrus peel. Medium sweet flavour, bready, some semi-ripe citrus, bitter and oily pine. Medium bodied, lightly chewy, with massaging carbonation. Resinous finish, somewhat resinous, lightly toasted malts, oranges. So so overall. (July 2018, score: 3.1)
Revisited in December 2019 and thought it was great. Assertive resinous pine, mellow alcohol, some rindy citrus fruits. A truly solid representation of a west coast IPA. Upping score to 3.8 overall.
