You need about three sips before you understand what you are drinking. It's a cider with gronk-size pecs.

On tap @TreeRock. Short pour. Clear, generic, pale, gold, no head. Bitter, buttery nose. Bittersweet apples & skin, bright, moderate tartness, mellow acidity, fresh oak, menthol, juicy, not absolutely dry. Bitter, boozy finish. Quite thin, filtered, well carbonated, hot. Tasty.

Airplane glue, oak. Clear pale yellow. Apple, oak, dusty basement. Light, dry, soft carbonation. Nice character, subtle.

75 cl bottle corked and capped. Slightly hazy pale yellow. Aroma is light apples, medium/light body, little carbonation, and no lacing. Taste is light dry apples and some oak. Light flavor, not much alcohol, but still underwhelming.

Bottle. Looked like the pic, but without the bow. Hazy neon yellow color, coca cola head that disappeared quickly. Aroma has vanilla, tart apple skins, tannins. Taste is rich and fruity vanilla, apples in the background. Complex and characterful.

Draft at Snallygaster 2014. Poured a clear yellow color with an off-white head. Aroma was light apples, some sweetness. Light notes, a little dry but retains some sweetness. Touch of barrel, wood. Booze is a little noticable.

Served on draft at Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a clear golden color with a thin ring of head. Aroma of tart apples, vanilla, tannins and faint brandy notes. The taste is tart apples, wood, earth, faint brandy. "Zesty" is in my notes. Faint heat. A little harsh at first but quite nice once it breathes a bit.
