From a 22 oz bottle. Pours a clear amber copper with a thick off white head. Aroma of pine and tropical fruit. Flavors are bitter with some sweetness. Tasty.

Keg at Beer Run. Clear amber, large creamy offwhite head, good retention. Aroma of candied lemon, pale malt. Taste is resin, lemon, lemongrass, pale malt. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Nice.

Honey and grass nose, muted thistle. Cloudy amber, medium yellow head, nice lace. Caramel, grass, pencil shavings. Medium body, easy carbonation, resinous. Big malt bill, but well balanced, good hop bitterness, but not sharp.

Massive, mean DIPA from Terrapin, packed with a deep, liquor-tinged malt sweetness and tons of resinous hops. Starts on a rich caramel note tinged with the slightest hint of citrus zest, then quickly grows a pine-fueled bitter streak, laced with black pepper and clingy IBUs. Finished thick and boozy, the sugary malts offset by a neverending rush of oily bitterness. Everything seems turned up a little too loud with this beer, almost approaching barlewine territory in its heft. Nose is surprisingly tame, however, mostly caramel malt dusted with pine. Good pour, translucent gold with a moderate white cap and modest lacing. Too rough around the edges, though.

500 ml bottle. Clear gold with a tall off-white head. Aroma of citrus and pine resin. The flavor is balanced smooth bitterness, but plenty of malt sweetness.
