A buttery rich, smooth stout, loaded with plenty of oats and roasted malts. The gentle sweetness from golden syrup, is a perfect reminder of everyone’s favourite home baked biscuit. Being expertly balanced and rounded this dark ale is particularly moreish.

Cask at GBBF: Poured a reddish edged brown with tan head. Aroma is beer as my wife would say, not anything distinct. Taste is malty sweetish.

Cask at GBBF 2019. Malty chocolate aroma. Dark brown. No head. Light bitter some dark fruit. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Abrupt finish. Bland but drinkable. Thought it was perhaps a mild. Poor attempt at a milk Stout.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby Malt and liquorice in the nose. Pours a rich ruby red with a small white head (NB does NOT pour black). In the mouth there is general sweetness, caramel, oats, malt and fudge. Finish is malty but also sweet toffee. Said to be a milk stout – well it is sweet but I didn’t get any lactose.
