Cask at GBBF ‘19, day 4, 09/08/19. Black with a well presented tan head. Nose is mellow roast, chocolate, light spice, dried fruits. Taste comprises chocolate, raisins, dark fruit rinds, black peppery spice, charr. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough stout.

Cask at GBBF: Poured a black brown with tan head. Aroma is chocolate malty. Taste is very rich smooth chocolate and malts.

ABV: 5.3%. Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, dark malt, chocolate - roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. 8/8/2019. Cask at the 2019 Great British Beer Festival. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, liquorice and dark fruit. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Bittersweet finish. Pretty good.

Cask gravity at the St Albans Beer festival 2018. A jet black coloured pour with a lasting loose dirty tan head. Aroma is tart, light vinegar, tangy roast. Flavour is composed of semi sweet and sour, pineapple, brett infection, tangy. Palate is semi sweet, sour. Spicy, moderate carbonation. Oily. Not good. Bit of soy sauce.
