Brown color, looks like a brown ale rather than a porter. Mild hoppiness. Watered brown bread with light unfermented malts. Comes of a bit as a kvass. Has a mineral feel.

Tap at Maxs. Sweet, rich, malty porter. The rye isn’t overwhelming, well incorporated. Medium to full bodied, heavy specialty malt tones. Big and roasty with a mellow amber malt undertone. Good.

Tap at Max’s, courtesy of Kenneth on his return from Afghanistan. Dark maroon brown color, beige head. Nice aroma of lightly spiced brown bread. Taste has lightly spiced cocoa and coffee. Very tasty.
