Bottle. Amber in color with a two finger head. Not the best American Oktoberfest beer but not bad. Malty in both aroma and taste.

Pours a clear, light amber with a thin white head, good lacing. Aroma of sweet marzen malt. Taste has light malty notes, some lingering bread elements. Palate has some delicate hop and floral notes, biscuit-like. Good.

Completely clear golden and light copper coloured body with a relatively thick two to three centimetre tall off-white head that does fade fairly quckly. Aroma of skunk, light metal, astringent malt, a lot of peat and malted barley with some grass, flowers, herbs and a dry profile with some light caster sugar and care caramelised sugars in the nose, too. Light-bodied; Strong malty profile at first that shows some caramelised sugars, toffee, earth and even nutty flavours with a subdued German hop note that does show through, but of course doesn't have many alpha acids and is,kt bitter at all, with only some soft caster sugar sweetness and the malts to finish this off. Aftertaste shows some peat and especially the malted barley with a lot of rustic and earthy notes and only a dash of sweetness. Overall, about what I expected from this one, but too much emphasis on the malts and way too much skunkiness here without enough showing through on the caramelisation or the other complex sugars that could have been used here - no real complexities throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon Row), Virginia on 02-September-2020 for US$1,87 sampled at my house here in Washington on 24-Septenber-2020.

Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a caramel color with a large foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet with toasted caramel, fruit, bread and a faint vegetal note. The flavor was bitterish and sourish faint caramel and a vegetal presence. Medium length finish. Medium body.

Bottle from a branch of Giant in Sterling, Virginia. Amber in colour, with moderate carbonation. A strong, malty lager with caramel and raisin sweetness, leafy hops and a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Clear light orange brown. Looks and smells like fest, perhaps a little metal malty nose. Very nice continuous creamy head, worth a 3. Taste is rather dull, almost acceptable in the middle of the continuum. Lots of visible co2 that palate, I like that. In the end, its pretty much a marzy that's a somewhat medicinal in nature. Not bad.
