Cask at gbbf 2022 day 1. A clear reddish amber coloured pour with a loose dirty head. Aroma is bug sticky toffee, brandy snap sugars, apple, light sour, toffee. Palate is semi sweet, sticky, sour, moderate carbonation. Flavour is composed of layered malts, butterscotch, toffee, apple, toffee, green apple.

Cask at GBBF '22 day 1, 02/08/22. Clear golden amber with a light beige cap formed of bubbles. Nose is dried fruits, caramel, sugars, fruit cake, dates. Taste comprises tangy fruits, caramel, light booze, spice, nutty, fruit loaf. Full bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Decent cask barley wine.

Cask@The Great British Beer Festival 2022 (Days 1&2) - Balanced sour and sweet fruity. Getting some dried fruit and berry skin, yeasty and malty notes, medium body, fruity finish.

Pretty nice actually. One of the better barley wines I’ve had recently, since it isn’t too sweet, boozy or heavy. Lots of grapefruit and lots of pine. Booze and light caramel, but this is subdued. Bittersweet finish. Tap at brewery.
