Can, from Potash Bros, Chicago (Oct 2023). Pours faintly cloudy dark amber-copper with a frothy off-white head, faint malt aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter piney caramel taste, thin body, long piney finish. Smooth and easy to drink, a typical American IPA.

12 ounce can. Cloudy orange gold color. Large foamy white head. Very nice lacing. Caramel malt nose. Fragrant pine hops as well. Sweet toasted malt flavor is balanced by the subtle spicy pine hops. Softly carbonated. Decent IPA, but more like a hoppy pale ale.

Here at this bar, they’really calling this a West coast style ipa. I think it’s going in that direction, but doesn’t quite cut it.

Pour is a murky orange with a large white head. Aroma is a mild hop but there is a huge caramel malt sweetness. Flavor is more of a herbal hop but then come the heavy sweet malt. Way too sweet and the malt bill is way too heavy. The malt here is just too heavy and sweet to let the hops do their thing.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home watching early season Sunday baseball on a cool afternoon at home. Appearance is a cloudy amber gold, consistency of fruit juice, with a moderate frothy white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is rich in piney hops with a light fruity profile. Taste is pretty good, very hearty/thick IPA, definitely some bitterness in here, citrus comes out more in the flavor, and I’m a fan of it. Good stuff.
