Puncheon-aged mixed culture ale brewed with lavender and spices with Chardonnay grapes and lemon zest

Inspired by the French 75, this collaboration with our friends at NOLA Brewing was brewed with botanicals and co-fermented with Chardonnay grape juice, with a little lemon zest added during the finishing. Pair it with seafood, particularly crawfish, for a taste of the Big Easy.

That’s dangerously good.

6.6

75cl bottle in the Preservation Society, pours a hazy lemon yellow, some cloudy head but not much. Nose has a lot, lemon, tart green grapes, buttery oak, a little waxy, some poop. Flavor has more lemony tartness, big herbs now, lavender, hand soap, buttery. Finishes tart and very oily. Weird. 8 3 7 2 13
