New England-Style IPAs are all the rage. Fans of Stone repeatedly ask for our take on the style, which can be met with some criticism. Rooted in West-Coast style IPAs for decades, how would we do it? Fear no more. Our brewers took the approach to deliver incredibly hoppy and aromatic flavor while keeping it very balanced, and upping the alcohol unnoticeably - nailing this astounding one-of-a-kind creation.
Overall this unfiltered double IPA is juiced up with massive tropical & citrus notes. The mild bitterness and relatively dry body compliment the style, and the residual maltiness nicely rounds it out. Lingering lime peel and tropical fruit derived from the hops stand out on the finish, begging one to seek out more.

The aroma of fresh hops envelops!

16oz can at Little Miss Whiskey DC, drank from the can (don't judge). Could be a bit stale. Starchy. Big and bitter. West Coast all the way. 6 3 6 3 12

473ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Misty orange coloured body, stable, rocky, pearl white head, crocheted lacing. Promising aromas of apricot and ripe citrus. Fine blended taste of dried fruit, sappy orange and mid-sweet malts. Satisfying resinous bitternes to the finish. Well bodied. Good drinking.(Tromsø 20.09.2021).

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Clear amber, mid sized head. Prunes, sweet buns and dank grapefruit up front. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Honey buns, dank grapefruit and Earl Grey tea. Long bitter finish with peppery warmth. A solid piece!

Drukket på Lillehøgda. Kobberfarget. Nesten klar. Middels høyt luftig skum som danner lavt kremskum ganske raskt. Litt lacing. Aroma av overmoden fersken & plommer. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken søt tropisk frukt. Forsiktig tørr avslutning.

Can. Pours a lightly hazy amber, small head. Aroma is malt, lots of pine, resin, herbal hops, grapefruit, caramel. Medium body. Flavour is heavy on the malt, caramel, light to medium bitterness, intense pine, light resin. A smooth west coast IPA rather than 'east meets west'. Good though.
