Perhaps no word better describes the social state of festivity than the german word gemütlichkeit, which loosely translates to the state of warmth, friendliness and good cheer that imbues public festivals and promotes community solidarity. Our contemporary take on the traditional Octoberfest style is a brisk amber lager crafted to encourage a state of merriment as we gather to celebrate the harvest season and prepare for snowy months ahead

Draught @ The Trinity Bar, New Haven CT (Oct 2024). Clear dark amver with a small frothy off-white head, caramel malt aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter caramel malt taste, floral hops, smooth thin body, long floral finish. Nice flavor!

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is clear amber-orange with nice sparkle, 1/2-finger width foamy beige head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is mix of wheat cracker, subtly fruity European hops, wet leaves. Taste follows aroma with wheat cracker, balance of mildly tart and sweet fruit, wet leaves. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, lively carbonation and dry finish as taste. Overall, a pretty competent rendition of the style.

Pours pale amber with a thin ringed head. Aroma has light malt elements. Taste has yeast element that lingers on the nose. Palate is dry, malty that sticks on the tongue. Pilsen elements.
