Can from Lupe Pintos. Ruby body with a light haze and a beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pine needles, charred wood and roasted malt. Flavour of toffee, pine and cranberry. Medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. This reminds me of Cromarty’s Red Rocker. I really enjoyed this - it’s a malty, hoppy treat. My kind of beer.

440ml can from Leith Bottle Shop. Gluten Free. Dark amber brown colour, bubbly beige foam head and aroma of malt, hops. Taste is malty, roasted, toasty, with some tobacco and citrusy, pine, dank hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry malty hoppy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep brown to black with red chinks. Thin beige head. Nose - burnt toffee, coffee, orange barley water with some grassy edges. Taste - chewy toffee and burnt orange. Palate - medium to full bodied, roasty and lightly bitter finish. Overall - a bit gnarly but good.
