Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Deep orangey golden-amber colour, some short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of ripe apple, fruit, brown sugar, woody funk hint. Taste is sweetish, appley, some skin & core, with caramel, barnyard funky notes, then smokey hints, wood barrel, oak, tar, and drying spicy tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry oaky tart & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

27/9/2024. From BIAB at St. Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2024. Pours clear copper amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is funky, musty, brown sugar, horse blanket, caramel, stable straw. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness, light tartness. Medium body, low carbonation. Very dry tannic finish. Enjoyed this.
