Cask. A chest-nut brown beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate and caramel as well as a bit of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish.

On tap, pours dark amber. Aroma and flavour of light biscuity malt, balanced by bitter hops. Not too enjoyable.

Cask-conditioned at the Raven, Bath 28/9/07. Ruby-red with a decent tan head. Aroma of red fruit and grassy hops. The flavour was initially of chocolate malt before a dry finish. Different and enjoyable.
