330ml can bought at BrewDog Cardiff, shared with Finn on a GWR train from Bristol to London Paddington. Tan-coloured head, jet black body, lacing rings down the glass.Rich aroma of sweet dark malts with a coffee touch. Mixed sweet taste of lactose, dried fruits and coffee. Sweet malty end. Smooth on the swallow. A nice one, just a tad too sweet in the long run. Great with the Captain Beefheart homage. (04.05.2017).

Lata 33 cl de 1420 León. (r12). Fcpref 01..12..2017 Lote 241.

Can from the brewer’s own stand at the Good Food Show at Birmingham NEC. Black with brownish hints. Light coffee is slightly lost against the more assertive roasted malt. The flavours are a little light but it’s got a nice frothy mouthfeel. Overall it’s decent but maybe suffered a little in comparison with the mint stout I’d tried from the same brewer moments before.

Keg at BD CJ. It pours black with a decent beige head. The aroma is rich, bitter - sweet, creamy, mocha, milk chocolate, toffee, coffee and a touch of umami. The taste is smooth, creamy, bitter - sweet, milk chocolate, toffee, coffee liqueur, chewy malt, earth and liquorice with a slick finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Works rather well. Nice milk stout.
