ABV: 6.8%. Unclear dark brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, woody, wine - red wine, wood - barrel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, barrel, woody, red wine. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20190808]

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, dark, cola brown. Ring of lasting, tan head. Nose has red wine dregs. Oak. Balsamic vinegar. Chocolate malts. Notes of Parma Violet sweets. Taste is vinous, dry, and tangy. Light chocolate sweetness. Some dried fruit bitterness. Medium body. Low carbonation. Finishes tangy, vinous, and fairly bitter. Comes together well.

Lovely red wine-y stout. Rich and malty and the barrel aging really comes through. Rich and very tasty.
