Draft at Brewhouse and Kitchen, Poole. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt. The flavour is light liquorice bitter, with a light, roasty, dry ashtray, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Not a great deal going on it must be said.

Third, keg at Brewhouse & Kitchen. Shared with Finn. Filmy layer, poor lacing, coal black body. Quite promising smell of roasted dark chocolate malts. Mixed taste of dark chocolate, oatmeal and dark fruits. Roasted end. Bit thin in the mouth. Satisfying. (Poole 22.10.2019).

15/7/2019. Cask at the Brewhouse & Kitchen, Southsea. Pours very dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted coffee, chocolate, malt, dried fruits and caramel. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation.

Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, dark fruits, hops and light coffee. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation.

14/7/2019. Keg at the Brewhouse & Kitchen (Poole). Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malt, hops, dark fruits, coffee and caramel. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft carbonation.

Keg @ BK Southsea. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, chocolate, hops, coffee and has a nice roasty finish.
