Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2017, [ Great British Beer Festival 2017 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX.[ As Firehouse Sledgehammer ].Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, malt bitter, dark malt, roasted, chocolate - caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20170810] 7-3-6-3-14

Cask @ GBBF 2017. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty caramel aroma. Roasted malty caramel flavor with hints of licorice. Has a roasted malty caramel licorice finish.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. Almost opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Nice dark malts, plenty of dark chocolate and a little coffee. Modest fruity tang. Smooth finish. Nicely chocolatey.

Sampled @ GBBF 2017, Day 3. A black beer with a small most good lasting tan head. Aroma of mild sweet chocolate, caramel, some coffee. Taste of caramelish dark brown malt, chocotate, toffee.
