Not much hope for this bottle considering its a version of the original limbo, which, BTW was terribly on style; and I was not disappointed. Directly from a bottle, appears a little hazy on pale. This is just like the original limbo, can’t find any difference. Slight BO citrus aroma. This is simply a terribly on style big bitter ipa fer sure. You may’s well make it a double IPA because that’s how bitter it is. Mouth coating nasty Nellie roto-tiller across the taste buds. Quite difficult for a lager lover and terribly nasty nellie on style & rude. Forget about the addition of citrus, this is BMF double IPA.

Lots of citrus and some pine. Pours orange with ok head. Bitter finiah with some tang. Easy drinking summer beer, though the peel is a little imbalanced like a stripper tripped on stage. Bottle.

Crisp, slightly hazy peach and apricot coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall tan head and a solid glow along with some bubbles from the sides and bottom of the glass. Aroma of bitter grapefruit and citrusey (no surprise!) hops along with a big floral kick and some hints of dry grass and funk. Medium-bodied; Extremely bitter hop flavour at first with a grassy and herbal strength along with a bunch of orange and grapefruit notes throughout. Aftertaste is deep and bitter with the hops hitting the hardest, then showing some great orange and citrusey sweetness that shows very nicely at the end. Overall, a well-balanced beer that shows the bitter and sweet as well as hoppy and balanced aspects of an IPA, better than expected and well worth sampling if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 05-March-2017 for US$2,49 sampled at home in Washington at the front of Whole Foods on 04-April-2017.

Bottle pour into taster cup at One Stop Market 30th Anniversary. Appearance is hazy, light brown with small ring of head, light lacing. Aroma is strong tropical fruit, with grapefruit, mild resin. Taste is strong tart grapefruit and bitter resin--too bitter for me--tropical fruit trying to get through but getting its ass kicked. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, quite bitter, dry finish. Overall, if the tropical fruit were stronger it might provide for nice balance but this is a strong mix of tart and bitter that is not for me.

Bottle from a Lazy Dog. Brilliantly clear deep golden almost amber color with a huge bubbly off white head that makes pouring 12 oz a challenge. Orange and grapefruit fruitiness dominate the nose. Light earthy grassy hops and faint malt underneath. The flavor is bitter pithy like sucking on a lemon grapefruit hybrid. Light butterscotch bready maltiness. This smells a whole lot better than it tastes.
