Draft pour at Smog City, Torrence. A mostly clean reddish pour, tons of foam head and lacing. Certainly a hoppy red. Rich malt, grassy hops, but has a dark fruit sense going on. Interesting brew as it's a huge hoppy red up front, but has such a big fruit linger. Multi dimensional brew here, interesting, and well made.

Hazy deep amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is light and has a fine minerally crispness. Light malts, light cream and caramel, trace of toffee. Good juicy marmalade and a little fresh orange. Airy finish. Can’t say I noticed the oak and grapes other than added smoothness and sweetness. A delightful Imperial Amber/DIPA, juicy and smooth. Super quaffable.

50cl bottle pours with a clear amber to rosy red body that supports a nice dark tan head. The aroma offers up malts, molasses, a bit of roasted malts, earthy spicy hops and then a blend of mild fruity ester notes. Smells nice. The taste delivers malts, a bit of nuttiness, a dash of molasses and then varying hoppy notes. The hops are spicy earthiness, some pine hops and then herbal like hops. This is all coming together really nice. The malts and lightly roasted malts and hops are just right and scratching me right where I itch. I like it. I didn’t get much in the way of oak or grapes in the bottle format and no wine sensation at all.
