This Russian Imperial Stout is a tribute to one of the most fantastic Swedish traditions - fika. Fika is a social phenomenon that has a fantastic history of bringing people together and is a crucial activity in Swedish social life.
To fika means that you have a cup of coffee with a biscuit, a cinnamon bun, a piece of cake or any other pastry. While having this, you talk and laugh together with friends, family, colleagues, a date or someone that you are trying to get to know. It is not just a cup of coffee - it is a fika.

Bottle from Voldby. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and heavy alcohol. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily and soft. 051019

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, chocolate, dark chocolate, coffee, cake, hazelnut, chocolate - vanilla - cocoa, vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, dark chocolate, hazelnut, sweet malt, dark malt, vanilla, cocoa, coffee. Tap at Salon piva. Very full. I can not really say that I'd distinguish the special ingredients. Loads of maltiness, caramel biscuity, chocolatey, nutty, quite sweet, but also balanced by warmth in the finish. Very good.
