This Russian Imperial Stout is a tribute to one of the most fantastic Swedish traditions - fika. Fika is a social phenomenon that has a fantastic history of bringing people together and is a crucial activity in Swedish social life.
To fika means that you have a cup of coffee with a biscuit, a cinnamon bun, a piece of cake or any other pastry. While having this, you talk and laugh together with friends, family, colleagues, a date or someone that you are trying to get to know. It is not just a cup of coffee - it is a fika.

Bottle at home. Opaque black color, decent sized beige to light brown colored head. Aroma is malts, chocolate, vanilla, indeed cocoa and hazelnut. Flavor is similar: all those flavors are in there! Quite an achievement I'd say. Expensive bottle but it was definitely worth it. Very nice. Smooth mouthfeel, velvety texture, soft carbonation. Yeah, very nice, well done, very well done.

Tap at Beer Hunters. Opaque colour, medium-sized brownish head. Coffee and vanilla in the nose. Medium-bodied. Toasted malts, light sweetness and lots of coffee. Short finish. Warming. Simple Briscotti version.

Powerful and tasty evening sipper.
Solid black pour with no head. Engine oil. Pleasant intensity in the aroma. Balanced and fine sweetness. Not cloying ad some other and a moderate bitterness. Chocolate, some brown sugar, vanilla, espresso, fruity and some roast.

Nice one! Quite heavy, dark and powerful. Starts with good bitterness and heavy coffee, but fades quickly into a bittersweet mixture of chocolate and actual cookie flavour. Lovely lingering sweet aftertaste. Excellent.

Bottle from systembolaget. Pours heavy black, no head. Aroma of chocolate sauce, coconut and a little leather. Taste of chocolate, brown sugar, roasted malts and some almond.
