This Russian Imperial Stout is a tribute to one of the most fantastic Swedish traditions - fika. Fika is a social phenomenon that has a fantastic history of bringing people together and is a crucial activity in Swedish social life.
To fika means that you have a cup of coffee with a biscuit, a cinnamon bun, a piece of cake or any other pastry. While having this, you talk and laugh together with friends, family, colleagues, a date or someone that you are trying to get to know. It is not just a cup of coffee - it is a fika.

(Bottle) Black colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, prunes, roasted nuts (hazelnuts, almonds), soy sauce and vanilla. Malty, roasted, sweet taste with black coffee, cacao, prunes, hazelnuts, almonds, soy sauce, vanilla, muscovado sugar and a balanced coffee bitterness in the finish. Full body, sweet. Sweet, heavy and fairly boozy, but really rich and tasty. Very nice.

Bottled. Pitch black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is coffee, vanilla, some toffee and mild nutty notes. Flavour is toasted, nutty, some slight coffee, alcohol, biscuits and mild vanilla tones. A bit alcohol kicking, but not disturbingly much.

Bottle split at the optimal climatic conditions tasting, Hazlemere, thanks to Kenny 11/08/21. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is dark fruit rinds, spice, light charring, chocolate, dates. Taste comprises chocolate, toffee, fruit cake, light pinch of spice, mellow roast. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light spike of alcohol at the curtain call. Decent easy drinking sipper for the 12% on offer.

Bottle shared in HW - cheers to Kenny. Pours clear brown with a small, creamy tan head. Medium sweet flavour, cocoa, raisins, light roast. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Mellow warmth in the finish, more cocoa, roast, coffee. Nice one.

Bottle shared at Colin's place. Thanks. A dark black brown coloured pour with a a halo fo mid tan head. Aroma is brown sugars, cinamon bun,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, brown sugars, maple, brown sugars, vanilla, rye. Palate is semi sweet, frothy carbonation, airy. Good.

Tasting at Chez Cloin. Thanks to me. Almost opaque dark brown beer, decent tan head. Smooth palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth and sweetish dark malts, a little dark malt cream. Mild spice. Soft but subtle vanilla. Mild dark fruits. Little floral spice. Smooth finish. Tasty enough but the taste is nowhere as near as good as it sounds. No surprise with Evil Twin to be frank.

fajne biszkoptowe, dzemowo-powidlowe, wanilia spora w smaku nieco marzepana, barwa ciemno brazowa nie przejrzysta, piana spora srednio trwala bardzo ciemna, fajnie i smacznie to wyszlo, sporo ciasteczkowego profilu, moze za slodkawe jak na RIS brakowalo mi tiu odrobiny kawy i palonosci. ale alko spore doskonale ukryte.
