Pour is a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is some red berry and lactic acid. Flavor is more of a oak tannin with some raspberry. Not very sour or tart but that's ok with me. This is more of a fruit beer with some oak notes.

12 ounce bottle from a mix pack from Woodman's Appleton, 8/11/19. Hazy amber, thin white head, fair retention. Aroma of oak, funk, vanilla, berries. Taste is funk, oak, vanilla, pale malt, tart fruits. Medium bodied, mild tartness, low carb. A fairly complex but approachable beer. Nice entry level sour.

Pours amber with a thick white head. Aroma of lactose. Taste has mild sour notes, malt base. Palate has light fruity notes to complement the lactose. Kinda weak.

Okay, not face-melting in its sourness, but you don't expect potency from a Sam Adams sour in the first place. Moderate blackberry/raspberry tartness mixed with lemon juicy and mild fruity esters from the yeast. Peters out towards the finish, growing grainy and slightly bitter, with a touch of oak, floral hops, and white bread in the fade. Drinkable, but why bother with so many better sours out there?
