On tap at Ghost Town, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, a little wood, and some earthy, oat-like hearty backbone. Flavour is chocolatey, with lots of dry cocoa nibs, earthiness, a bit of dried dark fruit, and an oatmeal-like base. Hearty, fairly dry, chocolatey and earthy. Excellent.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours very dark brown with a foamy tan head. Aroma of coffee and vanilla. Mostly coffee. Med body or so. Flavor is coffee/espresso with some vanilla and dark fruit. Not all that dry. Burnt malt bitter. Really tasty.

Good porter, a bit sweet but with enough roast and bitterness to balance out the caramel and vanilla notes. Undercurrents of raisin, espresso, and anise, with a deep, toasty finish. The sweetness grows a tad much as the pint warms, but never gets cloy. Nice.
