From the source. Aged for 2 years. Black with a frothy, light brown head. Incredibly earthy aroma accompanied by the smell of charred oak. Taste is burnt bitter with a mild accompanying tartness. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. Alcohol very well hidden. Very assertive beer that feels like peat bog, ashes and berries in a glass. Kinda like it though.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Dark brown with minimal beige head. Tons of iodine, mild peat, mild chocolate underlay, a bit boozy.

330mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out intense smoky, peaty whiskey barrels, with subtle roasted malt as a base. Flavour is boozy and peaty, with perfumey notes, boozy peated whiskey, and intense iodine. Harsh, boozy, iodine-y, and peated. This is rather harsh and lacking cohesion. I love the peat, but the base beer just isn't there. Iodine bomb.

Deep Black color and a small tan head. Looks like old motoroil. Nice nose of red fruits, peat and a decent bonfire. Well balanced Taste, smooth malts, faint fruity, peaty but not phenolic, well hidden alcohol.

330ml bottle [#383/500]. Jet black colour with late awakening, small, creamy, fading, dark brown head. Intense, peaty, smoky BA aroma, notes of peat, leather, disguised hints of caramel, dark caramel. Taste is sweet-ish caramel malty, dry, roasty, smoky, almost ashy, dark malty, peaty BA notes, hints of dark chocolate, dark caramel, a touch of dried fruit; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Well balanced, maybe a tad too much BA dominated, dangerously drinkable - good.
