Nelson Many Ways - Freestyle Hops contains Nelson Sauvin, grown exclusively by our friends at Freestyle Hops in the Upper Moutere region of New Zealand’s South Island. This is not your grandfather's Nelson: It exhibits the modern ideal of Nelson with notes of tropical fruit, passion fruit, and punchy citrus with a gentle bitterness on the finish. This beer is simply wonderful in concert with Tree House’s unique house character.

We hope you enjoy it!

16 oz can. Aroma of Marijuana terpenes. Pine, herb, musk. Jesus, Mary and Joseph. There’s a lot of marijuana aspect here. I pick up a little white wine but it’s very danky and weedy. That certainly is a different take on Nelson. Damn.

Can (8/20/24) from ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Opaque light brown-dark yellow with light sparkle, thin, persistent head with tons of lacing. Aroma is strong white grape, tropical fruit, passion fruit. Taste is strong passion fruit, grainy malt. Smooth, creamy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste w/mild bitterness.

Thanks to Dan C. for the chance to try these three SbS. The best of the three for me—big gooseberry and grape Nelson notes, with that earthiness as well. Clear expression despite(?) being the oldest of the three. Dank, juicy and moreish. LCI

Pours a hazy, chalk-banana, with smallish head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit. Flavors follow, with some white wine spice. Soft mouthfeel. Moderate hop bitterness in the finish. Definitely a different experience from the Eggers hop variety!

Charlton draught, 8/29/24. Milky/turbid bronze-maize-golden. Small, white head slowly to ring. Juicy white wine, light match stick and other mineral. Not quite as much deep, dank spice as I'd hoped for. Very fruity and ebullient for Nelson. Cracker and white bread from the malt gently support. No resin or booze. Juicy as all hell. Peach, nectarine, easygoing pine and more random tropical fruits. Yet where's all the deep, dry, mineral rich spice? Fruity, juicy, playful, soft and malty. Hard to complain, yet I want more heavy spiciness, damnit.
