Barleywine aged in amaro and bourbon casks
This barleywine is blended form one oak barrel previously containing January Spirits Amaro and one oak barrel previously containing Paul Weller Bourbon. The amaro is the star, lending richly layered spice.

Our most complex barleywine to date ... aged two years in two unique and special oak barrels. The star here is an oak barrel that previously contained amaro from January Spirits. Over the course of the extended oak residence, this barrel imparted unbelievable richness and complexity to our velvety award-winning base barleywine — a symphony of intense and rich spice, with notes of coffee, chicory, orange, cacao, cardamom, and so many more indescribable things. In order to complement this incredible barrel and brings its flavors into balance, we blended it with more barleywine from an exceptionally smooth barrel that previously contained W.L. Weller 12 Year Wheated Bourbon. The more closely you attend to the flavors and aromas, the more you will find in this richly layered glass.

Bottle pour at source: pours mahogany with small head. Aroma is amaro, vanilla, woody, some spice. Taste is sweet, spicy. Nice aftertaste. Complex and deep. Excellent.

On tap at the brewery. Pours dark brown. Amaro, cherry, chocolate, biscuit, caramel, dark chocolate, butterscotch, hefty amaro. Medium body. Great.
