Mashed with a traditional Hochkurze step mash, this amber lager was brewed with German Vienna, Munich, and Carafa malts and hopped with Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Spalter. It has notes of bread with honey fresh from the toaster and unsalted pretzel but finishes smooth and dry with a touch of earthy and floral hops. 5% ABV and super crushable this time of year.

16 ounce can from Capone’s in Norristown, PA. Amber orange pour. Frothy beige head. Pleasant toasted malt aroma hints at caramel. Flavor is bittersweet, toasted malt and peppery hops. Earthy, nutty notes throughout. Great flavor and balance. Spot on example of the Vienna style.
