Our Self-Reliance series of Farmstead® single-hop India pale ales allows us to explore how our Farmstead® ale yeast and various hops express themselves in unison. This novel variation of our Farmstead® single-hop India pale ales was brewed in August 2023, conditioned in Orange Bitters barrels for two months, and dry-hopped with hand-selected Citra® from Washington’s Yakima Valley.

Bottle thanks to Jason. Pours a pale gold with medium white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is brett, mineral, citrus, oak. Thin body, similar flavors to nose, light tartness, dry finish, enjoyed this.

Bottle shared by Explosivedog: pours hazy with a white head. Aroma is orange, light funk, generally fruity, blossoms. Taste is excellent. Fruity, funky. Great expression of hops with the orange bitters adding a nice touch.

Pours gold into a willi. Bright white head with good retention recedes to hug rim. Tangerine and passion fruit aromas. Crisp with sweet orange bitters, tangerine and grapefruit upfront turning to dry pith and peel in the lasting finish. Nice, really brings out the tangerine side of Citra.
