Can from my brother: pours dark brown beige head. Chocolate and molasses. Taste is sweetish, dark chocolate, hints of bitterness. Overall nice.

Draught at the brewery, 1/5/19.
Dark black body of undetermined, probably high, clarity. Light tan head shows pretty good retention.
Bready specialty malts collide with rich base malts as light prune and raisin peek through. A dusting of baker's chocolate accentuates light vanilla and hints of fudge as dry notes of alcohol and other fruity esters linger alongside the caramel and other chocolate notes.
In the mouth it's well-attenuated but still retains some base malt sweetness and good malt depth with tight carbonation and low alcohol. Raisin and prune are gentle and there are some bready, chocolatey malts with hints of caramel, vanilla and light brown bread. Very straightforward, by-the-books rendition with a good nod at both maltiness, moderate sweetness but also dark fruit and some bready malts for balancing dryness.
