50cl waxed bottle pours an oily, leggy black with a ring of brown head. Nose is so well balanced and inviting, malt and toast, licorice and molasses, caramel, smoke, earthy. Barrel is there but it's not scary. A little woodsy, some vanillin. Flavor has a lot more barrel, sawdust, Bourbon, brown sugar, molasses and tons of toast. A little coffee, but more earthy or composty. Some stinging barrel, cognac arrives. Full bodied, peppery, boozy but dry. Very very well balanced and a very very good beer.

Bottle: pours black with a small brownish head. Aroma is whiskey, chocolate, vanilla, light booze. Taste is sweet, chocolatey. Not boozy. Good creamy body.
