Rye whiskey barrel-aged imperial stout
Step into Forgotten Lore and experience distiller-and-Bruer collaboration on a whole new level. Alongside our friends at Sagamore Spirit Distillery out of Baltimore, Maryland, we aged Black Tuesday in Sagamore’s double oak rye barrels, resulting in a complex beer beautifully showcasing Sagamore’s barrel character. Aromas of chocolate pudding, crusty bread, and dried berries rise to greet you ahead of notes of rye malt, dried white flowers, and toasted oak.

Bottle shared thanks to Alexander. Very dark brown. Alcohol, chocolate, bourbon, spicy rye, rye bread, nuts. Solid sweet, huge bitter booze. Medium bodied, boozy finish. Massive boost, but not that nice otherwise.

Bottle @ HJ Hansen Tasting, Odense. Pours Black with bubbles on top. Quite Heavy. Syrupy. Slight Roast. Warming alcohol to hot. A bit over the top.
